Startup company Poshmark is looking to make a splash in the online fashion niche with their latest business venture. The company, which was founded by Kaboodle veterans, created a new mobile application designed to buy and sell clothing. The application is geared to make things easier for those trying to buy and sell various clothing from people to businesses.
The seller can take pictures of their clothes that they want to sell then set a price and post it online. It’s a simple process that Poshmark is hoping will attract users and keep them from going to other sites. There’s also features for people to discuss the various clothing items and share their opinions. You can also follow different users and keep up to date on anything else they might sell.
Posmark is also pushing for people to get together and have “Posh Parties” where they would buy, sell, and comment on clothing. These social gatherings are done online and will be themed events where popular fashion brands will be the main focus and users can buy or sell their used clothing from the fashion brand.
Poshmark charges a flat fee of 20% of the sale price. There are no listing fees which will attract sellers as many other leading sites charge listing fees on top of closing fees. For the fashion industry, this application could be a great place to start selling your merchandise especially if you are new to the fashion world. It can also be great for those people wanting to clear out their closets.
